Communication is very important, without it, it wouldn’t be possible for us to do life; this is why it is good to stay communicated with each other, because when we don’t communicate, very bad things can happen to us as a society.

In today’s article we are going to talk about, the data communication system technology.

The ability to transfer data quickly across both small and large distances, is one of the reasons that people use computers.

The structures that allow information to be transferred, from computer to computer across voice and data networks, are designed by people who work in data communication system technology.

When at least two computers transmit information to each other, then data communication takes place.

A system must be in place, in order for data communication to work, communication is transferred from point (A) to point (B).

A cable that connects one computer to another, is a simple data communication system, and a complex data communication system is a laptop, that is connected to the World Wide Web.

Network systems analyst, data communications analyst, data architect consultant and information technology specialists, are some of the jobs a person could find, in the data communications field.

The exchange of data between a source and a receiver, is tied to data communication technology.

When the devices, which are communicating, are in the same building or a similarly restricted geographical area, then this type of data communication, is known as local data communication.

In the data communication technology, the concept of source and receiver is very simple; the source is the device, which transmits the data, and the device which receives the data, is known as the receiver.

Computers can transmit data across the world, in a variety of forms, such as numbers, text, bits and bytes.

Data from remote locations, are collected, by a data communication system, through data transmissions circuits.

The information is then processed, and the results are sent out to other remote locations.

Many people today use different data communication techniques, which have evolved gradually, in order to improve on the data communication techniques, or to replace the data communication techniques, all together, with a better feature and option.

In order for data to be transmitted from one location to another location, a communications channel must be present.

A pathway over which data is transmitted, is known as the communication channel.

A radio, laser, a wire which connects communicating devices, or other radiated energy source that has no obvious physical presence, defines a communications channel.

Information is represented by individual data bits, in a digital communication channel, the individual data bits may be encapsulated into a multibit message unit.

A byte consists of eight bits, and it is a message unit, which is be transmitted using a communication channel.

A frame or other higher-level message unit, is a collection of bytes, which are grouped together.

In a complex data communications network, the message is handled better, when such multiple levels of encapsulation exists.

The purpose of data communication is to exchange information between two agents and it has to be as smooth as possible.
